The Hunting Ground Documentary – Free Showing @ Community Theater
Apr 2 @ 4:00 pm

In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness  Month, Response will host a special free screening of the award winning documentary, The Hunting Ground.

The Hunting Ground takes audiences straight to the heart of a shocking epidemic of violence and rape culture on campuses.  In raw and emotional interviews, rape survivors and their families testify to a real life horror story that has become all too common.  Those brave enough to report the crimes face disbelief, apathy, victim blaming, harassment and retaliation from both their fellow students and the administrators whose job it is to protect them.

Trigger warning:  This film features heavy themes of sexual assault/rape and suicide.

Advocates from Response will lead a question and answer session following the film.  For additional information, contact Stephanie Litten at (540) 459-5599

Concessions will be available with proceeds offsetting the cost of the screening.

This event is funded by VADCJS Grant #16-A3371SA15
